NovelShaft

NovelShaft is a writing workspace for fiction authors. It brings manuscripts, reference notes, and AI conversations into the same project.

Structured templates support character profiles, worldbuilding notes, outlines, scene cards, and clue records. These materials help writers organize the people, places, and events of a long-form story.

The AI agent can work with the project’s story materials. Its progress is visible while it reads references and checks its work, and writers can review the result alongside the manuscript. Authors decide which suggestions to use and what becomes part of the story.

NovelShaft is available as a web app and an iOS app, with English and Japanese interfaces. An account is required. A free plan is available, with optional paid subscriptions and AI usage allowances that vary by plan.

For example, a mystery writer can organize suspects, scene notes and clues, then ask the agent to work from those references while watching its progress. The author reviews the result and decides what becomes part of the story.
